On June 25, a block power transformer T2, manufactured by the Azerbaijani company ATEF Group, was delivered to the Kiev pumped storage power plant. About this reported by the press service of Ukrhydroenergo.
The equipment was supplied as part of the project "Rehabilitation of Hydroelectric Power Plants" for loans from the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The weight of such a transformer without attachments is 116 tons, and its capacity is 150 MVA.
A new block transformer will be installed during the reconstruction of Unit 2 of the Kiev PSPP. The need to install a new block transformer is due to an increase in the capacity of units No. 6 and No. 4 after reconstruction, as well as the state of electrical equipment, has exhausted its operational resource.
